The guitar has been smashed, the wooden remnants burned and Elias is ready to move on from his music man gimmick. Whenever you're ready, WWE. The company aired those melancholy vignettes back in August 2021, and Eli hadn't wrestled since the 19 July Raw before that.

Where the f*ck is he?

WWE reportedly lined up a fresh look and character for Elias that Vinnie Mac deemed "too much like Randy Savage". So, they've put the brakes on his return, and the man's future seems a bit mysterious. Being fair, a 'Macho Man'-ish repackage job might've bombed spectacularly - Eli might consider that a bullet dodged in years to come.

He needs to do something however. Sitting on the sidelines for approx half a year hasn't done much for him, and there's been no bid to build anticipation for a resurgence on TV. Elias' WWE destiny is very much up in the air.
