10 WWE Stars Who Have Gone AWOL

4. Lacey Evans

WWE ignorance for recent TV reigned supreme when Lacey Evans suddenly turned into a bubbly babyface right before going off on maternity leave in early-2021. That abrupt change followed Lacey using Charlotte Flair's father Ric to get ahead. It's amazing how one short promo for YouTube can change everything, eh?

Regardless of this randomness, fans were happy for Evans. She gave birth to her second child last October, and has been training for an in-ring return - most expect that'll happen at the Royal Rumble, but...what if it doesn't? What if WWE don't have a good enough spot for Lacey or don't have a clue how to use her during WrestleMania season?

Will she revert to a snooty heel gimmick, or will they try the brave military mother character again? It's anyone's guess. All that's known right now is that Evans has been recovering from childbirth and totally absent from WWE programming. The company didn't even mention her newborn late-last year.

That was a slight surprise considering it's a genuine feel good story.
