Please don't let Xia Li become the answer to some SmackDown-related trivia question about 'one and done' appearances under a new gimmick. Nobody wants to see the former NXT female lose the chance to show what she can do on a larger platform, but she's nowhere to be seen at the moment.
Lie debuted under her new 'Protector' guise on the 10 December show. She came to Naomi's aid against Sonya Deville and pals (how many people are they going to force this story on?) before sharing a bow of respect with her fellow babyface. Then, just like that, Xia was gone from screens.
The logical tag match (Naomi and Li vs. Shayna Baszler and Natalya) never got booked, and Xia hasn't protected anybody from anything throughout January either. Where is she? Also, why did the E bother hyping up then introducing her new character if they didn't have plans?
