While he may have put the awful days of Shorty G behind him, things aren't much better for Gable right now, as the Alpha Academy has a short shelf-life, and his phenomenal wrestling talents are being squandered by a company that seems to have little faith in him.

Gable rose to fame in NXT for his partnership with Jason Jordan in American Alpha. This pairing seemed poised to reign fire on the main roster tag team division. Still, after some moderate success - including a SmackDown Tag Team Championship run - they were split, as Jordan was inserted into a paternity narrative with Kurt Angle, which went nowhere.

Fans have been in support of Gable for a long time, as he's an incredibly skilled technical wrestler with an innovative move-set and an explosive in-ring presence. Sadly, this hasn't translated to success for him, as WWE keep underutilising his talents and even embarrassing him deliberately by dressing him up in an awful outfit and mocking his height.

One place where he surely could put some prestige to his name is AEW, where his technical wrestling skill might be better appreciated. You have to believe it's something he's put his mind to.
