10 WWE Stars Who NEED To Return To NXT

8. Ruby Riott

It's telling that the most recent photo we have in the WhatCulture archives of Ruby Riott looking dominant is around 18 months old.

The former Riott Squad leader has had a torrid time as of late. After a lengthy lay-off due to injury, Ruby Riott has found herself staring at the lights in every one of her return matches. Compare that with Nia Jax (more on whom later), who has been heavily involved in the title picture ever since her own return from injury, and you'll see a pretty clear example of contrasting fortunes.

There's no doubt that Ruby Riott deserves better. If you can, check out her match with Kairi Sane on Main Event. Even in an empty arena, on a show very few people watch, these two overlooked stars put on a very good match that highlights what the main office is missing in their consistent misuse of the pair.

Riott is far too skilled a wrestler to be used as simple enhancement talent, and a return to prominence on NXT would hopefully provide the boost her flagging career needs.
