Any chance to wrote bout Perry Saturn is a chance I will jump at, as the former WWF European Champion is one of the most underrated professional wrestlers of all time as far as I'm concerned. Saturn was agile, technically proficient, looked toughed as nails and was strong as all heck. For whatever reason Saturn never really advanced past the middle of the card in the three major wrestling companies in the 1990s.

Before embarking on his professional wrestling career Saturn spent four years in the US Army. Is that a surprise in the slightest? Perry totally looks like the kind of guy that would be in the army, especially when you look at him in his early years. He may just be the most 'in the army now a bouncer' looking guy I've ever seen.

Saturn enlisted aged 17 and spent a good solid four years in the army, before beginning his training as a professional wrestler at Killer Kowalski's school in Maiden, Mass.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
