10 WWE Stars Who Should NOT Go To AEW

7. Riddle

What a difference a year makes. Heck, not even a year, what a difference six months makes! At the beginning of 2021, Riddle was another great example of WWE misusing talent. Sure, he was United States Champion, but you need to do a lot of mental gymnastics to argue that that came with any credibility. Things were that bad that fans rejoiced when Sheamus (Sheamus!) defeated Riddle for the belt at WrestleMania 37.

Enter Randy Orton.

Well, enter Riddle entering Randy Orton's existence.

RK-Bro has been a skin saver for Riddle in WWE. The oddball tag team is a guaranteed winner but few combos have balanced the wacky and the stoic like Riddle and Randy Orton. The Viper has brought focus and stability to Riddle's jovial nature, allowing the latter to blossom inside the ring.

All of which puts Riddle in a tremendous position to succeed in WWE. Everyone and their dog sees that RK-Bro ends with Riddle vs. Randy Orton at WrestleMania 38. A big-time match on The Grandest Stage of Them All is not to be sniffed at, and it could well be the making of Riddle in the world of sports entertainment. That isn't going to happen if the former UFC man makes the jump to AEW.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
