10 WWE Stars Who Should NOT Go To AEW

6. The Four Horsewomen

The Four Horsewomen is such a cringe-worthy concept, apologies for perpetuating it further. Still, 'Bayley, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair & Sasha Banks' is a bit of a lengthy heading.

AEW's women's division could absolutely benefit from the star power that any of these women would provide. There is also a solid argument that says Bayley and Sasha (in particular) would be better off in Elite company. Both have been somewhat undervalued by WWE, especially when compared to the glittering achievements of Flair and Lynch. Yes, Bayley and Banks have had history and title reigns, but there is little doubt that they are both portrayed as 1B to Lynch and Flair's 1A.

Despite this, there remains much work for the four to do in WWE. History will remember the quartet as revolutionaries in the pro wrestling world, the dominant four personalities in changing the way women were portrayed in WWE. The Four Horsewomen are building a legacy that ends not just with Hall of Fame inductions; if things continue, these four will get a damn statue outside WWE HQ.

The future of Bayley, Lynch, Flair and Banks is about more than putting on good wrestling matches and a variety of opponents. It is as much about the past, about legacy, about history.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
