As part of La Résistance, René Duprée held an interesting distinction - he became the youngest superstar to win a WWE championship of any kind, claiming the World Tag Team Titles with Sylvain Grenier when he was only 19 years old. Unfortunately, this was not the beginning of a long and fruitful career for Duprée.

While Duprée's own issues with addiction hamstrung his potential in WWE, he was ultimately driven out of the company by bullying. Duprée stated that JBL, in particular, made his life miserable, constantly berating him with homophobic slurs. Duprée also recounted how other wrestlers destroyed his gear and shoved the French flag he used on TV into a toilet bowl.

Bob Holly also victimized Duprée - due to confusion over a car rental, Duprée got a traffic ticket that ended up under Holly's name. The incident was "settled" when Holly took liberties with Duprée during a house show bout in Syracuse, which included a vicious chairshot to the youngster's head. The beating was described as far worse than the one Holly gave to Matt Cappotelli. There was ultimately no major punishment, and The Undertaker reportedly stood up for Holly.

In 2007, after being miserable for years and, in his own words, having suffered dozens of concussions, Duprée requested and was granted his release.
