10 WWE Stars Who Were Bullied Out Of The Company
5. Palmer Canon
After spending time in Deep South Wrestling, would-be WWE star Palmer Canon was called up to SmackDown and given the gimmick of a representative from "The Network." This often put him at odds with commissioner Teddy Long, leading him to overrule the babyface Long to a heel reaction.
Canon's tenure only lasted about six months and ended before he ever competed in a televised main-roster match. During an Italian stop on a European tour, Canon abruptly quit the company, packing up all his belongings (save for his wrestling gear, which he left out on the bed) and booked his own flight home.
Canon attributed his departure to bullying suffered at the hands of JBL and Chris Benoit. As Mr. Kennedy later recounted it, the men felt no remorse over ending the up-and-comer's career, with Benoit expressing that some people didn't belong in the business and seeming to take Canon's presence as a personal insult.
Reportedly, WWE tried many times to reach Canon and negotiate a return, but he refused to even speak to representatives on the phone.
