10 WWE Stars You Didn't Know Started As Part Of The New Generation
10. Gangrel
David Heath had a very small window of relevance in the Attitude Era, when his whole Interview With a Vampire schtick translated into an emo bloodsucker known as Gangrel. But before he paired up with Edge and Christian to form The Brood, a stable of gothic warriors, he cut his teeth (har har) as the mask-wearing menace called The Black Phantom. The gimmick never really expanded beyond "guy with mask is vaguely evil," because his primary role was jobbing to the likes of Razor Ramon and Lex Luger. Heath left WWE after a year of getting kicked around by Tatanka and Sparky Plugg to test the waters of ECW and WCW, but returned to WWE in 1998 to wear plastic fangs and drop buckets of blood on people. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBgb1M6qZuo
