10 WWE Stars You Forgot Fought For WCW During The Monday Night War

9. The Quebecers

After being sued by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for Jacques Rougeau's portrayal of The Mountie in the early 1990’s, WWE were extra careful to make sure Rougeau was legally able to performer under his new gimmick name, upon his return to the company in 1993.

Paired with fellow French Canadian, the singularly named Pierre, the two were nonetheless clad in full RCMP attire, but were instead unoriginally named after their home province of Quebec.

Winning the Tag Team Champions from The Steiner Brothers in October 1993 and again against Men On A Mission the following April, The Quebecers' WWE run ended later in the year with a blow off feud against each other, culminating in Jacques' retirement match in Montreal.

Like all good wrestling retirements, Jacques was ready to go again two years, when WCW offered him a contract during their 1996 ascendance. Reuniting with Pierre (this time going by his real name Carl Ouellet), the Amazing French Canadians were born.

With Colonel Robert Parker as their manager and comical French Legionnaire attire, the Amazing French Canadians went on to feud with Harlem Heat and their old WWE foes The Steiners before jumping right back to WWE for a brief stint that ended in 1998.
