10 WWE Storylines That Were Probably Racist

9. JBL Literally Boots Illegals Back Across the Border

In 2004, Bradshaw transitioned from a beer-swilling brawler to a wheeling and dealing tycoon. In doing so, he not only changed his appearance, he revamped his entire persona. Gone was the guy who just loved to fight, and in his place was a smarmy Wall Street Texan who craved power. First up on his list of conquests was the WWE Championship that Eddie Guerrero held. To earn a title shot, JBL decided to try win the €œGreat American Award€ by visiting the Texas-Mexico border. During a nighttime promo, JBL spoke of his disdain for €œlazy€ illegal immigrants from Mexico (always a great move when the champ is Mexican-American) and then confronted a group of €œillegals€ trying to cross the border. He barked at them to get back on their side of the border, then kicked one man squarely in the rump to send him flying.
