10 WWE Storylines That Made No Damn Sense In 2020
4. RAW Drafts Retribution
Okay, ignoring the fact that WWE drafts have never exactly been an exercise in logic, why the hell would RAW decide to draft RETRIBUTION? The masked goons had been interfering with the show for weeks, with a stated aim to bring the flagship show to the ground, preferably in flames. The decision to pick them in the draft was baffling at best, absolute insanity at worst.
You could make the argument that the group had to be drafted by someone but that doesn't really hold weight. A whole host of stars went undrafted and many former champions remain without a brand, so RAW didn't need to draft this group of absolute buggers. If Andrade can remain undrafted then so can bloody Slapjack.
There is plenty of talent in the group. Mustafa Ali has long been one of the most under-utilised performers on the entire roster, but that still doesn't explain why the red brand would choose to draft a group whose only stated aim is the destruction of the aforementioned brand. The only explanation is that those in charge of RAW have put substantial amounts of money on the brand's demise.
