10 WWE Storylines Which Could Make WrestleMania 37 The Greatest Yet
9. Kevin Owens Vs. Sami Zayn
It has to happen one day. The long term feud between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens has seemed destined for a re-emergence since Zayn’s heel turn at Hell in a Cell 2017.
It could have happened at WrestleMania 34 due to the Shane McMahon tension, but didn’t because of the tag match with Daniel Bryan’s return. Then in 2019, when Kevin Owens returned as a babyface, it seemed inevitable that Zayn would come back to cost him the world title at Fastlane. But that didn’t happen, and both men sat out WrestleMania, despite Zayn being healthy and wrestling on the Raw after.
Their potential feud is the most natural it’s been in a long time, Owens is a top babyface who hasn’t been given the chance to break out with a belt as a hero, Zayn is the current Intercontinental Champion as a dastardly despicable heel, they have years of history and if the brand split places them on both shows, then it’s the best possible outcome for a WrestleMania classic in the making. The two best friends would more than deliver on the grandest stage of them all.
