5. Dominik Mysterio Vs. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins and Dominik Mysterio were given an Shawn-Michaels-In-1997 "FOLLOW THAT!" by Pat McAfee's maiden offering against Adam Cole at TakeOver: XXX.

Both matches were nods of acknowledgements to the veterans involved, with Cole and Rollins both generals that could be trusted with protecting the health of the newcomers and the investment of the company in them. Sunday couldn't quite hit the heights of Saturday, but Dominik hovering close to the roof of the ThunderDome during his impressive frog splash attempt highlighted just how committed to this as a career.

As with his quality offering against Kevin Owens at WrestleMania, Rollins was really up for this. Timing his cut-offs immaculately, he was terrifically convincing as the evil pr*ck, going for Dominik as if he was all of Wrestling Twitter. Shooting Angie Mysterio a look at the top of the ramp was tremendous stuff - commentators and viewers alike could only speculate what hideousness he had planned in that split second before Dominik broke up the moment. Forcing Rey to view the violence with some handcuffs was the icing on the cake, as was a wicked powerbomb Rollins spiked his opponent with as a way to physically reflect how sick he was of his sh*t.

The messaging was broad, but the achievement wasn't lost for it - everybody did brilliantly in obscuring both Dominik's limitations and the storyline's inherent stupidity.
