6. Mandy Rose Vs. Sonya Deville

Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville worked visibly hard to try and sell the brutality required to conclude a story that's been brilliant for most of 2020.

Deville's raising of the stakes on Friday night had a subtext that played to the terrifying real life trauma the pair experienced just last week. Gone was the Hair Vs Hair stipulation in favour of one that would permit one of them to take an extended break from the company. It gave likely loser Sonya a chance to try and reconcile the events and recover away from the pressures of an extremely high-pressure job, even if it meant that a huge professional step forward was about about to be put on hold.

They grafted at this with the benefit of the No Disqualification stipulation, but Rose's personal battle with a table was ultimately as hard fought as the one with her real life best friend. A few minor flubs couldn't break the immersion, but mainly because that had already happened before the bell.

Here's hoping they can both work through it separately and together, and Deville eventually one day returns to claim all the accolades she looked destined to achieve.
