A bit of a personal favourite this one.

SummerSlam 2013 lives long in the memory as a great pay-per-view, mostly because of two famous matches between WWE products and the beloved stars of the underground. I'll get to the other one later, but first up is the main event bout between then WWE Champion John Cena and his chosen challenger, Daniel Bryan.

The momentum of the Yes! Movement had been building for a long time, but this was the night that Daniel Bryan truly arrived at the top of World Wrestling Entertainment. It was a WrestleMania-worthy match, to say the least.

Whilst seeing Bryan dispatch Evolution at WrestleMania XXX was incredibly rewarding, how magical would it have been for Bryan's journey to end with a clean win over Cena, the top star in the industry, on the grandest stage of them all?

Not only that, Cena facing Bryan would have freed up the Wyatt Family to take on The Shield, another match that deserved WrestleMania status.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
