9. That Old Familiar Feeling

The Undertaker AJ Styles

If you’re reading this and NOT a casual fan, how on earth do you answer that common question from your casual fan mates now?

You know the one.

“Is The Undertaker still kicking around? What’s he up to these days?”

You can’t tell them he’s a WrestleMania attraction because that’s not truly been the case since 2014 and he literally didn’t even make the show last year. You can’t tell them he’s smartly deployed in tag matches with other big stars because until The Graveyard Dogs gloriously reunite for One More Match that’s little more than a Hall Of Fame-worthy outlier. You CAN say he shows up in Saudi Arabia, loses battles against his own bangs and wins toy trophies that look like an ice sculpture made with p*ss.A ‘Show Of Shows’ effort with AJ Styles could be amongst the shrewdest moves WWE have made with the gimmick in years, but it spoke to the modern day rot within the company that one chokeslam was enough to temper excitement less than a month out from the match itself.

And yet, there was worse to come. If this made your head hurt, go for a nap on a quiet room. Have a rest, in peace.
