It's no secret that Triple H's physique has fluctuated a lot over the years. When he was a Connecticut blueblood in the mid-90s he was athletic looking and not too bulky. As leader of DX, he tacked on more mass and became more defined. As 'The Game' during his initial main event run in 99/2000 he was as jacked as he has ever been in his life. After he came back from injury in 2002, he somehow became even more jacked than before. Then he got soft, then he got ripped, then soft again, lost mass, gained mass, etc... Yes, his body may have yo-yo'd over the years but he's always looked like a big time professional wrestler and has clearly always put the hours in at the weight room. A lifelong bodybuilding enthusiast, Triple H even wrote a book about diet and nutrition in 2004 called 'Making The Game: Triple H's Approach to a Better Body'. That book was not well-received by the bodybuilding community, who questioned advice such as 'don't be afraid to eat a sandwich for lunch' and further questioned why Trips and WWE would release such a book when Triple H's body was breaking down and as soft as it had ever been. In recent years, however, Triple H has clearly devoted himself once again to getting into the best shape of his life and regularly touts the work of DeFranco's Gym and coach Joe DeFranco.
