10 WWE Superstars Who Are Failing (But Shouldn't Be)
4. Alberto Del Rio
His name is Alberto Del Rio, but thats about all he has going for him. Like Kofi Kingston before him, Del Rio has all the natural ability in the world but for some inane reason, cant put the whole thing together. The nephew of legendary Mexican luchador Mil Mascaras, Alberto Del Rio is a beauty to watch in the ring. His motions are fluid and his technique is nearly flawless. The problem is his personality. Listening to ADR cut a promo is akin to listening to paint dry, if one could actually listen to such a thing. Hes seemingly incapable of cutting a promo without using the words peasant, perro and destiny. Unlike Kofi Kingston, Del Rio has been to the top as World Champion. 4 times, in fact. The fact that most wrestling fans cant recall a single memorable thing about his title reigns is a testament to his inclusion on this list. ADR has what it takes to be WWEs premier Mexican star but has repeatedly been a victim of poor booking and stagnant character development. Aside from his short-lived and only moderately successful babyface turn in late 2012, hes had virtually no change in character since his debut. If Del Rio wants to be something more than high profile filler in Elimination Chamber and Money In The Bank matches, he desperately needs to evolve, both as a character and as an in-ring performer.
