10 WWE Superstars Fired In The Shortest Time
8. Ultimate Warrior (4 Months)
Vince McMahon just couldn't resist the tasseled vascularity of The Dingo Warrior, no matter how many times it took his proverbial baby. Despite being, to put it mildly, right fannied around by the industry's premier rope-shaker across 1992, the WWE honcho nevertheless deemed the irascible Warrior, in spite of his inflated physique and '80s association, a perfect fit for his 'New Generation'. More likely, he just could no longer bear the shame promoting men of such small stature.
The metaphorical red carpet, in the form of a future-proofed Triple H, was unfurled for Warrior's herculean return with such ferocity it's a wonder The Game didn't get friction burns. A sub-two minute humiliation of Hunter was soon followed by a rambling Raw promo, and it seemed as though Big Jim, after four years away, was right back in the swing of things. Regrettably, that was precisely the case. By July, Warrior was skipping dates to spend time with his ailing father - a man McMahon claimed his absent star hadn't seen in ten years.
The actual reason, of course, was money. Warrior claimed his contract had been breached, through his merchandise being sold at house shows without royalties. McMahon claimed he breached his contract by failing to come to work. Only one side was going to win this dispute.
