10 WWE Superstars Who Were Forgiven For Joining TNA
9. Goldust
Dustin Rhodes portrayed one of the most intriguing, most controversial characters of all time in Goldust. The bizarre one turned WWE upside down with his antics and promos back in the day and he left an indelible mark on the company in the minds of fans all over the world. But as everyone knows, Dustin spent time in WCW in between his runs as Goldust so Vince McMahon evidently did not hold any ill will against him during that time. Working for TNA should not have been anymore of an issue and apparently it was not. Dustin in fact worked for TNA on two separate occasions and it was during his second stint in the company that he took an interesting direction with a new character. Black Reign was a darker, more sinister take on the Goldust persona and while it was reminiscent of what he did in WWE, it was very different at the same time. Dustin took the notion of the bizarre gimmick to the next level and did it with a new flair. Black Reign seemed like a very natural fit for him and he appeared to have caught a second wind on his career. But Black Reign's run ultimately did not succeed in TNA and Dustin Rhodes the man seemed to be ready to move on once again. Dustin returned more than once to WWE after he left TNA but it was the run that he began back in 2013 that was definitely the most successful he's enjoyed since returning. Goldust looks better than ever; he seems rejuvenated and more self-confident than he ever has before. He's in great shape, his ring work makes him look younger than he is and his run with his brother Cody is one of the best in his career. But none of that would be the case had WWE not allowed him to come back after working outside the company.
