10 WWE Superstars Who Were Forgiven For Joining TNA
8. Christian
Christian is considered one of the more solid hands in WWE and a definite fan favorite. His run with Edge during the tag team renaissance of the early 2000's stands as one of the best that any Superstar has ever seen and he helped redefine the division for a whole new generation. His transformation into a singles Superstar was met very positively by fans that appreciated what Christian brought to the table and he soon came into his own. He seemed to be on his way to establishing himself as a future main event star. But his Captain Charisma gimmick seemed to fall a little flat as WWE was apparently not very committed to him in the long term. So when the opportunity to leave came in 2005, Christian took it and debuted in TNA. And the potential that his fans believed he had was soon fully realized. Christian's TNA signing was a plus for the company. He strengthened them as an upper card star and he gave them more credibility among fans that knew him but perhaps were not familiar with TNA. Christian Cage was booked as a top star and that's how he was received by the crowd. And he fit right in. Christian won the NWA World Championship twice while in TNA; he achieved greatness that had eluded him as a singles star in WWE. Christian was one of the most popular talents in TNA and his heel run was as entertaining as any that fans had ever seen from him. And when he returned to WWE in 2009, he did not miss a beat. He won the ECW Championship not long after his return and he also won the World Heavyweight Championship both in 2010 and 2011. Christian's momentum from TNA continued into his return to WWE and he is still held in high regard by fans that appreciate him for what he's accomplished in his career.
