10 WWE Superstars Who Were Forgiven For Joining WCW

9. The Ultimate Warrior

WWE.comWWE.comThis one is a bit tricky, but it definitely applies. The Ultimate Warrior was always seen by wrestling fans as a WWE guy. He made a name for himself there in the late 1980s and early 1990s, but his behavior was so erratic that he really wasn't in WWE for that long. He should have been a main WWE guy through the 1990s. Instead, he was gone by 1992 at the age of 33 and the 1996 return was brief. When he jumped to WCW in 1998 it was a huge risk for them. At that point in his career he had been in and out of WWE so many times that you didn't know what you would get from him. The WCW run was a major failure. His big match with Hulk Hogan sucked, the promos he did were really cheesy and there were only a few televised matches before he was gone. His return to WWE was not sudden. It took 15 years to get him into the mix with the inclusion in the WWE video game last year and then the WWE Hall of Fame this year. His appearance on Raw the night after WrestleMania 30 was the last time we would ever see him because he died the next day due to a heart attack. It's a sad story that we won't soon forget. It was great to see him back in WWE for that final weekend with his family by his side. I'll never forget being in the crowd at the Raw after WM and giving him the standing ovation he so richly deserved.
