10 WWE Superstars Guaranteed To Benefit From Seth Rollins' Absence

6. Cesaro

Could the misfortune of Seth Rollins finally give Cesaro the chance to prove he's the star that Vince McMahon clearly doesn't see him as? It's certainly possible, and having the Swiss Superman emerge victorious from that tournament (regardless of what form it takes) at Survivor Series would lead to a long overdue and well-deserved main event run for Cesaro. Since that match against Cena on Raw earlier this year, Cesaro has clearly been fired up, and he's been tearing down the house ever since whether it's in big matches or against The Miz somewhere in the second hour of Raw. It's obvious that he wants the chance to prove himself, and Rollins' departure has left a gaping hole in the card which you have to believe he'll be more than happy to be given the opportunity to fill. In recent years, the WWE has seemed reluctant to put the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Superstars in a bid to make new stars. That was never more apparent than when Daniel Bryan was constantly robbed of it, but he still got a huge rub from holding it for just a few minutes at SummerSlam 2013. Even if Cesaro's reign only takes us into the New Year, it could transform him into a new WWE main event talent. He's clearly already at that point in terms of his in ring ability, so legitimising that with the title left vacant by Rollins may be all that's needed to help the Swiss Superman live up to his name.
