10 WWE Superstars Held Back By Scripted Promos

Especially for longtime pro-wrestling fans, WWE's latest YouTube show, Southwest Regional Wrestling (SRW), is one of the most entertaining productions the company has delivered in quite a while. Part of the show's charm are the off-the-cuff type promos cut by Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson as Tex Ferguson and Chadd 2 Badd, respectively.

Despite decent hype surrounding the Bullet Club members' jump to WWE in 2016, WWE's writing team soon cast Gallows and Anderson into brutal segments with horrendous scripts. Remember the "Old Day" segment live on RAW, or the pre-taped promo surrounding New Day's "retirement"? This was cringe-worthy stuff.

But SRW really shined a light on the charisma that these two talents have. The lunacy of Chadd 2 Badd was topped only by Tex Ferguson's wardrobe and ramblings about Bad News Allen and Greg Valentine. Sporting skin-tight jeans tucked into cowboy boots beneath a blue and red satin Ribera jacket, Tex Ferguson portrayed the epitome of an 80s southern 'rassler.

Granted, SRW likely wasn't a 100% free-for-all in terms of scripted lines, but obviously there was more freedom here than anything else these two have done since arriving in WWE. Clearly when left to their own devices, these Good Brothers can deliver some entertaining stuff.
