Except that isn't true of Captain Charisma. Surprising as it may be, but despite being in the ring together through a variety of handicap, tag matches and battle royals, John Cena and Christian only faced each other one-on-one once on WWE TV. As far as I know they didn't go mono-y-mono on any house shows either, making their September 2011 meeting truly once in a lifetime.

Even more surprising is the fact that their one and only match lasted just three minutes and ended in a shady DQ finish to continue building towards Cena's triple threat match against Alberto Del Rio and CM Punk at the forthcoming Hell in a Cell PPV. It wasn't even a match in truth, just a three minute shuffling of bodies to get to a post-match angle.

And that was that for John Cena vs. Christian. With the latter retired and the former winding down, this will forever be a match that we saw once but never truly saw at all.
