10 WWE Superstars Who Were Lucky Not To Be Released Today
5. Justin Gabriel
Gabriel is one of those guys that should have a bigger role on the main roster. He's a talented performer that's capable of having good matches with just about anyone. A few years ago he was pushed strongly as part of The Nexus when he was a tag team champion, but ever since then it's been a struggle for him. They should probably pair him up with Tyson Kidd again because Kidd's another guy that could use some direction. They teamed up a few years ago and had some success, but that ended when Kidd missed nearly a year of action with a knee injury. Gabriel's barely visible on Raw or Smackdown these days although he usually works the other shows as well as house shows. As a high flyer he brings a lot to the table, but at the age of 33 WWE may not believe he is going to be successful if they try to push him again. Plus, they've got the likes of Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn in NXT waiting for a shot. They're more likely to be pushed than Gabriel is. He's in a tough spot right now despite being talented, so he's a candidate to be released whenever WWE decides let more talents go.
