10 WWE Superstars Who Were Lucky Not To Be Released Today
4. Brad Maddox
The former Raw GM isn't somebody that WWE seems excited about pushing as a wrestler, so that puts him on the list of people that are lucky to not be released. What role is there for him? Being a manager is a possibility, but it's not like he's that gifted of a talker that he is really going to improve a talent the way Paul Heyman does or even Zeb Colter. That's the problem with making him a manager. He may not be that good at it. Who's he going to be paired with? It's a tough call. His situation is similar to what Matt Striker was in WWE. He wasn't great enough to be a full time wrestler, so they gave him jobs like backstage interviewer, commentator and host of pointless NXT shows. He lasted in WWE for a while, but he's gone. Maddox may not be in too much longer unless they can find a role for him.
