Read the below excerpt delivered by an incensed Karrion Kross during the WWE-released WrestleMania Recap podcast as an audit regarding Kross' immediate WWE future (h/t to F4WOnline):

“So, I decided to be a good soldier. You know what happened? They released me. And then I come back. You know what being a good soldier gets you, everybody? Here, just in case you’re wondering - you want the back scoop here? Being a good soldier gets your time cut. Being a good soldier means that people come up to you and say, ‘Hey, you got any great ideas?’ ‘Yeah, here it is from Scarlett.’ ‘No, no, no, that’s a little too great. We’re looking just for good ideas. That’s for those guys over there.’ That’s what being a good soldier is. Being a good soldier is coming to your hometown where you cut your teeth when you got started and not being on the card.”

It was, as he stated, a message from Killer Kross, not Karrion Kross, and it was, per Sean Ross Sapp, a shoot, brother - so now what? Does Kross meander around the mid-card until the expiration of his contract? Does he have a blow-off match against AJ Styles? Does he get benched to sit out the remainder of his contracted dates?

Perhaps.

But Triple H - the same Triple H who managed to avoid public scrutiny in a week that saw Nick Khan slander AEW and John Cena praise the disgraced Vince McMahon - will never pass up the opportunity to strike while the iron is hot.

Expect Karrion to receive "extended opportunities" moving forward. Jey Uso needs a World Heavyweight Title contender, and while current speculation points toward an extended Sami Zayn program, Karrion Kross is an ideal candidate to pull the best out of Jey over the next few months.
