10 WWE Superstars Who Are Nothing Like Their Gimmicks In Real Life
4. The Undertaker
The gimmick: Undertaker is another with supernatural powers who, for the better part of his 27-year career, has played the role of an undead mortician who just happens to be one of the best wrestlers in the business.
As if that wasn’t weird enough, he was regularly managed by Paul Bearer, a ghostlike character who was later revealed to have had an affair with ‘Taker’s mother, and who ‘Taker himself would later attempt to bury alive in cement at the 2004 Great American Bash.
Oh, and speaking of his mother, Undertaker was also alleged to have accidentally set fire to the family funeral home and inadvertently killed his parents as a result.
In real life: He’s not an arsonist, he’s not a magician, he’s not even a real undertaker. Beneath all that bizarreness, he’s Mark Calaway, a tattooed biker from Houston, Texas, who generally just likes to keep himself to himself.
And just to really kill the illusion, his work outside the ring has seen him invest in real estate and also found an animal fund at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences.
