10 WWE Superstars Who Are Nothing Like Their Gimmicks In Real Life

3. Mick Foley

The Three Faces Of Foley
WWE

The gimmick: Mick Foley had not one, not two but three notable gimmicks during his time in WWE.

His first, Mankind, was an apparent schizophrenic who lived in boiler rooms and was just as happy mutilating himself as he was others. Then there was Dude Love, the tie-dye wearing smooth talker who somehow managed to get all the girls, and of course Cactus Jack, his hardcore alter ego whose arsenal included thumbtacks and barbed wire bats, and was willing to agree to the sort of matches that even Mankind wasn't up to facing.

In real life: Whether it’s Mankind, Dude Love, or Cactus Jack you’re looking at, Foley isn’t really like any of his on-screen personas. Though each of those characters could be said to have a screw loose, Foley himself is known as one of wrestling’s intellectuals.

When he isn’t jumping through tables and taking thumbtack bumps, Foley is at home writing New York best-sellers and children’s fiction. And although he’s a notorious penny-saver, he doesn’t really live in a boiler room.

No word on whether or not he keeps a sock down his trousers though...

Elliott Binks hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
