10 WWE Superstars Who Are Overdue A Main Roster Push
1. Big E
There have been rumours suggesting that Big E is in line for a significant push, which was why he was separated from his New Day stablemates Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods and why he’s disappeared from television in recent weeks. While it’s a smart move to avoid over exposing any superstar, how WWE have yet to establish the former NXT Champion as a dominant singles wrestler is somewhat puzzling.
There may be no current WWE superstar better than Big E to begin a long face- run, ascending up the card and eventually defeating Reigns for the Universal Title. He is an athletic powerhouse who has shown he is more than capable of being a dominant singles performer. Not only does he have the in-ring talent to justify a major title push, Big E oozes charisma and is one of the most entertaining men with and without the mic. On top of all of that, he has a physique that should have Vincent Kennedy McMahon salivating.
Fans have been clamouring for WWE to strap a rocket to Big E’s back and to have him ascend to the main event, but given he hasn’t been a single’s wrestler for some time, creative should not rush his push. There is enough talent on SmackDown for Big E to have a slow build, leading to either a Royal Rumble victory or, at the very least, a significant match at WrestleMania 37, which can carry him to a Universal Title shot at SummerSlam.
