10 WWE Superstars Who Are Overdue A Main Roster Push

10. Chad Gable

It’s disappointing that the best thing that has happened to Chad Gable in the last 12 months is that he’s rid himself of the dreadful Shorty G moniker. Gable competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, and is one of the most proficient technical wrestlers in the industry. In Gable, WWE essentially have Kurt Angle 2.0, yet his talents have been wasted with poor booking and, for the last year, a silly gimmick- these will be recurring themes on this list.

During his time on NXT, Gable demonstrated his tag team wrestling prowess as one half of American Alpha, alongside Jason Jordan. The tag team divisions on the main roster have been in desperate need of an overhaul for some time and, while Jordan is no longer available due to a neck injury, it shouldn’t be hard to find a suitable partner for Gable. How good would Gable be teaming up with Drew Gulak to go on a run through the tag team division?

It seemed as though Gable was going to be pushed when he made it to the finals of the King of the Ring tournament in 2019, but after losing to Baron Corbin, his momentum fizzled out. Gable is being woefully underused by a company that isn’t recognizing his talent. If he isn’t given a push in the singles or tag team division soon, Gable may be a candidate to jump ship to AEW and see if the grass is greener on Wednesday nights.
