10 WWE Superstars Who Could Debut (Or Return) The Night After WrestleMania 33
2. Shinsuke Nakamura
WrestleMania weekend will mark one year since Shinsuke Nakamura made his NXT debut. In that one year, he's won the NXT Championship twice, garnered a huge fan following, and proved that he has what it takes to get over in WWE. Now, all that's left is for him to join the main roster.
It's a consequence of the way WWE handles its developmental system by booking NXT as a traveling brand that it hasn't happened yet. Nakamura is about to turn 37, and he's certainly doesn't need any more "seasoning" before heading to Raw or SmackDown. He's scheduled to challenge Bobby Roode for the NXT Title at TakeOver: Orlando, and if he loses, he has no more storyline reason to be at Full Sail.
Given that the company is supposed to move in new directions after WrestleMania, debuting Nakamura on Raw would be the perfect step to take. The brand would get a new superstar and the show would surely change forever.
