3. Authors Of Pain

Another set of workers who have been somewhat heavily linked to a WWE return recently, the former NXT and Raw Tag Team Champions known as The Authors of Pain feel like a pretty solid bet when it comes to night after WrestleMania appearances.

Since being released by WWE in September 2020, the wrecking machines known as Akam and Rezar haven't actually stepped in-between the ropes elsewhere. Though they did infamously attempt to get a Wrestling Entertainment Series promotion off the ground last year, only for their debut show in Nottingham to end up getting binned off on the back of a ton of talent cancellations.

However, at the start of the year, it was reported that a WWE return for the powerhouse unit had been discussed internally, with the reappearance of Paul Ellering as their manager also being talked about, too. And while "things have been quiet on that front", as noted in an update last month, perhaps this is merely a strategy to throw fans off the scent of the lads' imminent return to the land of Sports Entertainment.

The main roster is in desperate need of some additional tag teams to freshen up a rather stale division. And reintroducing a pair of tried and tested monsters would definitely tick that box.
