10 WWE Superstars Who Ended Up With Surprising Jobs After Wrestling

1. Bret Hart - Aladdin The Family Musical

To the 'Hitman' himself for his comments on what working as The Genie from Aladdin in a 2006 touring play meant to him, especially so soon after one of the more difficult spells of his personal and professional life.

Speaking to GayCalgary.com during production, Hart said

“When they first came to me with the idea I was still in the throes of my stroke...I appreciated the fact that they thought of me but I initially declined it because I didn’t think I was capable of doing it. We left it open. The more I thought about it the more I realized I owed it to myself to at least try this challenge to myself. I have been so fortunate to have a pretty good recovery. So it was a chance to step up and try something different and in a lot of ways it’s turned out so much better than I could have anticipated. The whole thing is so much fun for me. The script is really well written and drafted around my wrestling persona, it’s written around the Hitman character. I really feel like I get to be Bret ’The Hitman’ Hart one last time. Over the past six years I have moved on from my wrestling persona but, walking out on the stage and doing this role as the Genie it all comes back to life for me...If you miss my wrestling character this is a way to see him one last time.”

Every Bret Hart match was a wrestling fan's wish granted - leave it to the 'Excellence Of Execution' to find some of the old magic when he took to the stage.
