10 WWE Superstars Who Gambled On A Brand New Finisher

3. Daniel Bryan

Dishing it out during what was then the biggest moment of his professional career, Daniel Bryan chose exactly the right time to debut his devastating running knee as a brand new finisher.

Three seconds after walloping John Cena with it at SummerSlam 2013, the 'Yes Man' was WWE Champion, and whilst his first reign lasted barely longer than that, the move itself was immediately established as Bryan's quick-and-deadly decider.

It was just about the only thing missing from the pro wrestling polymath's arsenal at that point. A supreme in-ring technician, athlete and Sports Entertainment storyteller, Bryan was already the complete superstar if you weren't the type phased by a short stature and/or shaggy beard.

Getting a vicious spin on a superkick to go along with his Yes Lock was ideally timed, too. Bryan would be forced into a number of handicap situations during his unending rivalry with The Authority between the 'Biggest Party Of The Summer' and his WrestleMania 30 coronation the following year - having a strike this sharp was an important weapon to keep his biggest moments in the minds of the men that simply didn't want to push him.
