10 WWE Superstars Who Must Retire In 2017
2. Big Show
Poor Big Show has had criticism leveled at him for some time now and it looks like he's finally heeding some of the audience's advice, having claimed he plans to retire in 2017. This being wrestling, of course, that decision could easily change but we hope Paul Wight sticks with that decision.
Big Show has clearly been scaling down his appearances in recent years and hasn't done a whole lot in recent months. However, even when he does pop up on WWE TV, he is often greeted with 'please retire' chants. Harsh, perhaps, but a sad indicator of how fans have lost interest in Big Show in recent years.
Part of the problem is that the constant babyface and heel turns (which even Big Show himself jokes about, it happens so often) have diluted any fan response to him. Who knows if we're supposed to cheer or boo him at this point? Even though Show is still a great performer in the ring, the sad fact is that nobody takes him seriously anymore. The guy has nothing left to prove for WWE anymore and the dream celebrity match-up with Shaquille O'Neal looks likely for WrestleMania in 2017. That would be a very cool way for Show to call it a day.
