10 WWE Superstars Who Must Retire In 2017

3. Vince McMahon

Okay, so this could be a bit of a controversial one but bear with us. For all the great Vince McMahon has done in the wrestling industry and the genius ideas he has come up with over his long, illustrious career, few could deny that the last few years appear to show a man who has become out of touch with what the modern audience wants.

The repeated refusal to listen to the fans has, at times, grown to quite ridiculous levels. From the Daniel Bryan situation in the final years of his active ring career to McMahon's recent attempts to shove Roman Reigns down the fans' throats as a bland, superhero babyface, Vinny Mac is going by the 'they'll like what I tell them to like' philosophy and it's damaging his product.

After several years of nigh-on fan revolts towards Royal Rumble winners, not to mention the savage response to this year's WrestleMania main event - and, indeed, the booking decisions of the show as a whole - McMahon would be wise to step down and hand the reigns over to his son-in-law Triple H. For all HHH's flaws, few could deny that the best decisions in WWE in recent years - from the success of NXT to global expansion with the CWC and UK title tournament - have come from him.
