10 WWE Superstars Who Need To Revert To Their Old Gimmick
1. The Judgment Day Back To Whatever They Were Doing Before
After their defeat to the Mysterios at SummerSlam, the Judgment Day are unsalvageable.
It hasn't worked. They tried, but with little to no direction, even with Edge at the helm, Judgment Day never really got going. Usually, a group has a common theme or a purpose. What was theirs? Were they spooky dudes? Were any of them in a position beforehand where they weren't getting respect? Did they just hate local sports teams?
The concept of Edge running a stable with exciting new (not necessary young) stars had merit, but the lack of clarity, hot-shotting of their leader and poor winning record has put them more in the conversation with RETRIBUTION than the Ministry of Darkness.
Finn Balor, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley are valuable assets to the roster. Before his weird split personality, Priest was on fire as a badass babyface, seemingly immune to the usual WWE booking problem. Ripley battled back admirably from being undermined by Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 37. And Balor will always be over with the crowd.
All three of them deserved more than they were getting when they joined Judgment Day, but they certainly didn't deserve this. Disbanding them, letting them go back to the characters they were before, even as heels, would be way more beneficial to all involved than trying to resuscitate a group that flatlined months ago.
