10 WWE Superstars Who Need To Revert To Their Old Gimmick

5. Ciampa Back To 'Psycho Killer' Tommaso Ciampa

How out of place does Ciampa look in the above photo?

One of the biggest wishes this writer has now that Triple H is in charge, is that Paul Levesque ignores the ridiculous notion Vince McMahon had, that everyone from NXT was starting fresh on the main roster. Like Pete Dunne, Tommaso Ciampa surely didn't need this treatment.

Arriving on Monday Night RAW in a backstage segment, where he was a silent, third man, there has been zero direction for the 'Psycho Killer' from night one. Random attacks and rumours of joining The Judgment Day (don't worry, we'll get to them), Ciampa was wasted almost immediately.

Now, saddled up next to The Miz as his lackey, for reasons as of yet unspecified, the man is even wearing garish trunks to match his over-zealous... boss? Mentor? (That's laughable.)

On NXT, Tommaso Ciampa was the man. Whether a sadistic heel who was obsessed with 'Goldie' or the bad ass babyface, as the Psycho Killer, Ciampa was a star. A man who could be slipped into any feud or match and elevate it. To Vince McMahon, he was just a small, bald guy.

Hopefully, with The Game taking the pencil, we should see Ciampa slip back into the character that made him so popular and we can have a little faith restored in the process.
