10 WWE Superstars Who Should Have Been Pushed Harder
4. Evan Bourne
Evan Bourne had one of the strangest career trajectories in WWE history, but his path never led him to the top. When he first arrived on the scene, Bourne looked like he was going to succeed Rey Mysterio as WWE's next great high-flyer. As time went on, it became more and more clear that this was not going to happen. Bourne was one of the smaller wrestlers to ever perform for the company, but what he lacked in girth, he made up for with gumption. His risk-taking style and positive attitude endeared him to the crowd in a way that few Superstars have been able to match. Even with only one tag title on his resume, the fans would always give him a great reaction. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3A7ptgfWi5g Bourne's lack of success was partly due to the numerous injuries that plagued the cruiserweight, but it was mostly due to WWE management never seeing him as anything more than a novelty act. Now that Bourne is back wrestling for the various smaller promotions around the world, he can use his fame to write his own ticket. There's always the chance he could return down the line, but with guys like Sami Zayn, Adrian Neville and Seth Rollins able to hit the big spots, it's more likely that we will see him show up in TNA or Lucha Underground.
