10 WWE Superstars Who Went AWOL After WrestleMania

Despite their real-life relationship being the catalyst for the hugely rewarding WrestleMania 8 WWE Title programme, Macho Man Randy Savage and Elizabeth were sadly approaching the end of their marriage right around the 'Showcase of the Immortals'.

'She was mine, before she was yours' uttered Ric Flair on television to trigger the emotive angle with the Number One contender to his title, enhancing Savage's rage as he fought to protect the integrity of his beloved wife.

Factoring into the eventual match, Elizabeth cut lose her usually angelic persona to force her way down to ringside much to the chagrin of officials and Flair himself.

Celebrating with Savage in the post-match, Liz would rebuff 'The Nature Boy's unrequited affections with a huge slap, triggering another brawl between the title rivals. It would be her final high profile moment ever as a WWE performer.

Making her final appearance for the company in Sheffield at April 1992's UK Rampage event, she was gone before Mr and Mrs Macho could even appear together on US Television with Randy's newly-won title.

The absence was never referenced in interviews, with news of the couple's divorce earning minimal column inches in WWF Magazine as the company and Savage himself quietly moved on.
