10 WWE Superstars Who Will Never Be World Champion Again
4. Sheamus
One would not be exaggerating if they listed Sheamus' two stints as the WWE Champion amongst the most underwhelming and disappointing title reigns in recent memory. Backed into a creative sludge at the back end of 2009, WWE decided to swerve everybody by booking the then-rookie Sheamus over John Cena only months into his career. The problem was the way they did it. Cena fell on his "arse" and The Nexus beat the sh*t out of Cena. Sheamus then ran away for 2 months each time. Since Sheamus returned as a heel earlier this year, it's been difficult for folks to take him seriously. Whether it's his hair, skin or real-life jovial attitude, Sheamus just can't seem to get over as a heel. At this point, it seems as though Sheamus' days at the top of the company are over and out.... even if he carries that Money In The Bank briefcase around, you never quite feel convinced he will cash it in successfully.
Betting on being a brilliant brother to Bodhi since 2008 (-1 Asian Handicap). Find me @LiamJJohnson on Twitter where you might find some wonderful pearls of wisdom in a stout cocktail of profanity, football discussion and general musings. Or you might not. Depends how red my eyes are.
