10 WWE Superstars Whose Careers Were Shortened By TLC

2. Jeff Hardy

Jeff is the man that took the first few TLC matches to a different stratosphere. Hardy seemingly didn't care for his well-being as he took countless bumps from the top of ladders, as well as using his own flying torso as an effective weapon. Jeff took part in the first three WWE TLC matches but also had a string of singles matches. He was part of WWE's fourth TLC match when he teamed with Rob Van Dam in a losing effort on Raw's four-way tag-team match before losing to CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship in 2009. During his two stints in TNA, Hardy has been involved in four 'Full Metal Mayhem' matches. First, he lost to Abyss as a number one contenders slot was on the line. He would then unsuccessfully challenge Bully Ray for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship before defeating Chris Sabin in the World Heavyweight Championship Qualification Tournament. More recently, he was involved along with his brother Matt in this year's tag team 'Full Metal Mayhem' match against Team 3D and The Wolves. It remains to be seen how many years Jeff has in him but no man is indestructible. A few more bumps like that one, the spear he received from Edge at WrestleMania X7 or the Swanton Bomb to Buh Buh Ray Dudley on the entrance way at WrestleMania XVI, will bring a really great career to an end.
