10 WWE Superstars Whose Careers Were Shortened By TLC
9. Christian
Christian took part in four TLC matches and has an impressive 50% win ratio in them. Captain Charisma, along with his partner Edge, competed in the first three matches before teaming with Chris Jericho for the fourth WWE TLC match. Christian's wins both came with Edge in the first two matches as they retained their Tag Team Championships in the first before taking the titles from the Dudley Boyz at WrestleMania XVII. In TNA, as Christian Cage, he defeated Abyss in a 'Full Metal Mayhem Match' to retain his NWA World Heavyweight Championship. We've all seen the early TLC saga involving the Dudleys, Hardys and E & C, some of the bumps Christian especially took from the top of the ladders, most notably a Buh Buh Bomb, had to take years off his already storied career. Currently, Christian is an inactive member of the WWE roster. In September, various outlets reported that he had been cleared to return to the ring but WWE apparently had nothing for him. Allegedly, there are also people in the company that feel that he may be too fragile for a return to the ring due to all of his recent injuries. Could his days as a wrestler be over at the age of 41? He already looks to be turning his attentions to acting, appearing alongside Edge on the Syfy drama Haven.
