When Hunico took over the Sin Cara mantle from the departing Mistico in 2014, it was a big deal for the hard-working, Mexican luchador. Having travelled the world since debuting in 2004 and spent several years struggling in the lower-mid card, the Sin Cara gimmick finally gave him a regular spot on the WWE roster.

The masked man had worked under several gimmicks prior to making it in WWE as Hunico and later becoming Sin Cara. His most successful of these was under the name of Incognito, who made his North American debut at TNA's Sacrifice PPV in 2006.

As part of the World X Cup Gauntlet, four teams of four would square off in an elimination style multi-man bout, eventually won by TNA standout, Petey Williams. The match itself was a star-studded affair, including such international stars as Jushin Liger, Black Tiger (Rocky Romero), Tyson Dux, Shocker and Puma (TJ Perkins), as well as TNA regulars like Alex Shelley, Jay Lethal and Eric Young.

His sole appearance in TNA, Incognito has gone on to ply his trade in the US virtually ever since. The future Sin Cara made his WWE TV debut on WWE ECW in 2009 before journeying to FCW as Hunico in 2010.
