10 WWE Superstars You Didn't Know Wrestled In New Japan
8. Tyson Kidd
For years, Tyson Kidd has been known as one of the most capable - but underrated - talents in WWE. Though he's earned a pair of Tag Team Titles during his near decade-long tenure with the company, Kidd has spent the bulk of his time on the main roster either injured or being used as an enhancement talent. Still, his skill has shone through, and it was that same skill that led New Japan to notice Kidd earlier in his career. Competing under his prior nickname of "The Stampede Kid", Kidd fit into the junior heavyweight division alongside frequent tag team partner American Dragon (more on him later), and was asked to participate in the 2003 Best of the Super Juniors tournament. He defeated former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion El Samurai in the tournament, but failed to advance to the finals. In 2005, Kidd was once again part of the tournament, picking up a win over long-reigning former champion Minoru Tanaka. Shortly after the BOSJ ended, he finished up his tour with the company and left for good.
